On their British-German law blog Cross Channel Lawyers the colleagues of Graf & Partners explain in a detailed yet comprehensible manner what it takes to make a court claim for money in Germany: „Debt Collection in Germany: A practical Guide to Civil Court Procedures„. For a claimant from Britain or the USA the surprising news is: It will in most cases be faster and cheaper to successfully sue a debtor in  Germany compared to a law suit at home (no jury system, no tiresome pre-trial discovery procedure, the losing party pays the entire court and legal fees etc). A very helpful article for British and US creditors.

The law firm Graf & Partners is specialized in British-German legal issues. For more information see here and the brochure (pdf download) for English speaking clients
